AVRant #17: It’s a Sack of Love

August 30th, 2007

How manufacturers react to some reviews and think consumers are idiots, how to get your questions answered quickly on an AV forum, and whether or not you need to buy your sub from the same manufacture as the rest of your speakers. Tom and Dina get some feedback from a big box store employee. There is a short segment about Dina’s nose, Tom touches on the current HD DVD/Blu-ray format war, and Dina and Omar (Homer?) make Tom sad. Dina reveals how she likes bad boys and that J. Walker (her husband and Ask AVRant podcaster) has a Chia-head. Finally, Tom and Dina take time to help out a prison inmate. Believe me, you don’t want to miss this one. See you next week!

Words cannot express the power of the Love Sack. I’m sure we’ll get some more mileage out of the Chia Head thing… that just screams to be reused somewhere down the road… I think Dina needs a t-shirt for CEDIA that says “My husband has a chia head”

Oh just wait until Dina is actually on film next month… lol.

Turkey is a blast. Some of the best food I have had in the world was there!

Ohh and Dina go knock yourself out get a LoveSac, they are like beanbags but the stuff in them is much more comfortable. I got to sit at one at one of their stores at a mall.

Omar, Love Sacks, Chia Pets…what’s this site coming to? Forget the AV stuff. There is so much more out there that we need to hear about.

Oddly enough, there’s a Love Sac store right next to a Home Theater store (Home Theater and Appliance World) at Flatirons Crossing in Broomfield, Colorado. Who knew they had so much in common?

    Good podcast today!

Lea, sounds like you have a story to tell. I am sure Tom is more than willing to splice it into a AVRant for all the faithful listeners ;).
