AVRant #124: Death to Harry Potter

April 16th, 2009

This week Clint’s in for Dina who was called away on an emergency vacation. Thanks for the pic Rick. A few more cheap shots at J.J. Abrams. A few TV show reviews. A few Rob theories. Clint’s take on the shootout – from the trenches. Clint pushes our family friendly rating. Preview of the Infinity Classia C336 review. Clint’s got a new projector in for review and a massage chair. And you wonder why Tom is so bitter. Chevy Volt has an energy efficient sound system – Tom and Clint would accept the larger carbon footprint for a better sound system. More on green policy. Our first suggestion for no/low cost system improvements. Thanks for listening and don’t forget to vote for us at Podcast Alley.

Here’s a Jeremy pic that I didn’t have time to add to the podcast file but it was so awesome I wanted to include it. Yes, that is Clint.

If you look closely, yes, that is Clint

Correction… that’s my inner face plastered onto a model wearing a pair of Audiophile Ears…

Just for reference, I had a massage chair in my home theater. It wasn’t a $4000 model, it was more like this:

They don’t make my particular model any longer, but I got it for around $500 and it was worth it! You only sit in it for the 20 or 30 min massage then you trade with someone in a different chair. Otherwise, those massage balls just stick in your back. Not a good thing for a 2 hour sitting. Anyway, I am sure Clint will love it.

Oh, and that digital TV converter box review is done. I am just waiting for my peer review before it gets published to the site… 😛

I am becoming Internet Famous! lol

One knows that one’s star is rising when the host of AVRant starts creating fan-fic about one’s life 😀

Although, Tom is spot on that I would grade a student’s paper harshly if he/she were to use “your” when “you’re” is correct! (If I were a teacher, that is 😉 )

I do not think my real life is quite as eccentric as in Tom’s imagination, but never-the-less, Tom has revealed my heretofore unrecognized Super Power: Verbose Word-count Influence!

I promise to only use my power for good and not evil! Heck though, Tom can’t complain too much: I’m very much looking forward to the Auralex interview (which Tom said was enjoyable) and I think my “Tom’s PS3 Fund” and “thermometer chart” ideas have done alright (if I do say so myself) 😀

Nice to hear Clint on the podcast again; although, we always miss Dina whenever she is away.

Now get to work on posting the Gavin Haverstick interview or fear the grandiose deluge of pleonasm that will reign upon you if you do not acquiesce!

    Mwaa-ha-ha-ha-haaa!

(Turning evil is just too easy)

    :p

How do you watch the video feed for this podcast?

Unfortunately, there is none this week. That feature will be back next week with Dina.

I have to thank Tom, his review is what finally made me decide to buy the Salk SongTowers. So was really happy to see them do well on the shootout.
