This week, we thank Shannon and James for their donations (James provided an old laptop to help out Tom) plus Bill for talking us up to Emotiva. Thanks guys! You are our listeners of the week! In the news, Vudu now hos 11 movies in UHD and HDR plus more (LINK), Kurt from Blue Jeans Cable explains HDMI cables (LINK), and there is a new sub-$1000 projector king of the block – and it is BenQ again (LINK)! Ray weighs in on MiniDSP vs. Behringer DSP-1124 Feedback Destroyer, Dave recommends “Theatre Test” app for the Apple TV for bass sweeps at a reasonable price ($3), Infinite Gary reports fewer TVs sold this Black Friday (LINK), and Paul had Rob over again. David wants a comparison between Audyssey and Dirac, John is having issues with bass and Dirac, and Monty needs help purchasing a screen. Nathan is looking to add immersive audio but doesn’t want to lose his manual EQ on his Yamaha, Kris is planning for immersive audio and has some questions, and Nicholas wants to know if he should buy more Sierra 2’s or CBM-170’s. Efrain picked up a PS4 on Black Friday and wants to know what to expect, Jonathan responds to our comments last week, and Michael is looking for an upgrade over his HSU HB-1 MK2 speakers (Ascend Acoustics CMT-340SE, EMP Tek R55Ti Towers, KEF Q500, NHT Classic Three, Revel Performa3 M106Ascend Acoustics Sierra Towers). Ken has a problem with phase, Michael is wondering about Kodi, and Barney wants streaming DTS HD-MA and Dolby TrueHD (don’t we all). Bill figured out his problem with his sub and Roku box, Shannon is looking for height speakers, and Alan had a great experience with Epson customer support. Thanks for listening.
