We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take any more!

We’ve talked over and over about Comcast on AV Rant specifically about compression and visual artifacts. We’ve had listeners that have had problems with other cable companies to the point where they are going to write a letter to the CEO. Case in point – Daniel emailed me yesterday to let me know that he had sent his letter to Time Warner and added that a) he thought the letter was a little too nice and b) he wished there was a petition he could sign to let the cable companies know that he wasn’t alone.

Well Daniel, you’re NOT alone! I’m with you and decided that if there wasn’t a petition, I’d damn well make one for you. So for all of you that can’t stand your cable providers or would like to ensure that your current acceptable service continues, Sign The Petition. And all of you lucky FIOS and satellite customers, do yourself a favor and sign. Right now you may be laughing that all of us stuck with cable are getting bad reception but don’t think that it won’t happen to you. Providers look at the worse service that people are willing to pay for as a benchmark when times get tight. You may have perfect HD now but if their stock takes a dive or if they face a higher compression vs. spend money scenario, you want them to know that compression is NOT the way to go.

Lastly, the onus is upon you, the loyal AV Rant listener, not only to Sign the Petition, but to get the word out. There are plenty of mad people out there that are looking for a vent. Let’s give it to them. Let’s tell the cable companies that we’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it any more!

I have direct tv but i signed the petition because with the high price for cable its not fair to pass thier expenses on to the customer. In concord ca . and comcast would be 159.00/month. I can’t pay that much.
