Why? Surf over to Audioholics and check out his latest review of the Emotiva speakers. I mean seriously, where else do you get lines like this: While I understand that the sock is meant to convey quality and “audiophileness”, it mostly just makes handling the speakers akin to wrestling a pissed-off fish.

I just calls’em like I sees’em.
I have to say, it was nice to receive my SVS subs wrapped in cloth, but it wasn’t a silly bag with a string to close it, but rather an easily removable protector (if properly unpacked).
But the bag i received my quad-pole Axioms in were VERY annoying. There are drivers on pretty much every side of the speaker, and trying to pull the speaker out without destroying anything was akin to, well… Tom put it best! 🙂

Dude, you should try man handling a 70kg SVS PB13 Ultra with a sock on. I was knackered for days afterwards
I think the socks should automatically dissolve when exposed to enough air… lol.
