Welcome to the circus – the stars? Audioholics and HTR. Well, you want the skinny? Tom doesn’t make you wait. Here’s the whole history of the Lexicon review, the animosity between Jerry over at HTR, and what the Audioholics guys really think about it. After all that is out of the way Tom and Dina lament the departure of Jeremy – you’ll be missed and we thank you for all you’ve done for the podcast. Two Ryans chime in this week – one with a hot wife and one with a question about room treatments. Bill wants a sub but needs some advice. Mark wanted an Onkyo but was offered an Integra instead – should he take it? A bit about the ZAGGbox – should you be excited? Dina is but Tom is not convinced. Thanks for listening and don’t forget to vote for us at Podcast Alley. To see our (mostly) complete collection of show videos, click here. To get our iPhone app, visit the iTunes store.

I loved Dina’s comment about how all of this is “so high school”! Also, I was not aware of Chrysalis subwoofers. Interestingly, the main page of their web site states “Chrysalis by Velodyne”, so it seems Velodyne does clearly own up to manufacturing these subwoofers.

Ryan, about the posters on your acoustic panels: Try holding a poster behind your head while watching a movie or listening to music. That should tell you what kind of effect they might have on sound =)

I got the velodyne attitude from a discussion with the store guys (or maybe Gene, I can’t remember) who got that impression from them.

Good suggestion Ted.

Wow! I’m internet famous! Mentioned as some guy who posted a link to the HTR “objective” BD-30 review in the avrant podcast. :-) Maybe not. ;->

Good podcast.

Aack!! Damn the no editing on comments.
It’s too damn early in the morning for me… the last post should say “subjective”, not “objective”. Aack!
Grammar Rob, please don’t skewer me! ;)

About the sub and neighbors thing wouldn`t buttkickers/bass shakers work , I know it`s not the same as having bass output ,but it would give you some of the impacted of a explosion back and still keep the sub turned down to a level that wouldn`t bother your neighbor
