Note – yes I know there is no such thing as a agraphobic (not sure why I messed that up – it’s agoraphobic) though it sounds funny.
Welcome to the year of 3D! If it doesn’t make it this year, things look pretty bad for the new format. But never fear you pundits, there is plenty going on. We’ve got Discovery, Sony, and IMAX teaming up for a channel, ESPN offering a little 3D (for a bit at least), and Mitsubishi with an add-on Tom thinks you shouldn’t have to pay for. Vizio has a new line coming out, but will anyone buy it? Some more on Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Volume, a bit about movies we’ve seen lately, and a bombshell about The Speaker Company (you’re not going to believe this one). A really stupid question to Klipsch… what happens when the light burns out?
In our family chuthers has been in common usage since our kids were little.
E-chuthers, your chuthers, their chuthers, our chuthers.
Use those in a sentence with your face straight.

Hey Leif,
I believe the light portion of the device uses LED’s. Those suckers last many, many years.
So, why isn’t this show shoing up on my iTunes? Anyone else have that problem?
Also, from last show, Tom, there is nothing unique in the design of a satellite for 3D. It’s just a “bent pipe”, like a cable as far as the TV signal is concerned.
About subwoofer issues with Dynamic Volume on the AVR-4310
There is a widely reported bug with the way some Denon receivers implement Audyssey that involves subwoofer levels in playback of lossy formats (DTS and Dolby Digital). This was first discovered with the AVR-889/2309 model…
And there is someone on avsforum reporting something like this with the AVR-4310 – though not sure if this has been verified for this model yet.

When I took my 889 into denon last november, they were aware of this issue (at least for the 889)
I think that the audio quality for the podcast is more easily discernible when you crank it up – which I don’t. Glad you found the issue though.
Chris – I fixed the problem with the post so the podcast file should show up on the various sites soon. Not sure how that happened but I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.
OK, it’s showing up on Podcast Alley now and I pinged iTunes. All looks to be fixed.

The Tennessee boy here will back up “druthers” being a word. Not that I can ever remember actually saying it in a sentence.
Another vote for druthers from a Savannah, Georgia boy. Of course I grew up with my grandmother regularly using the word “yonder” which mistified me as a young boy.
Man, who knew? I don’t claim to be the bastion of all English jargon but I thought I had come across most every geographically neutral term. Consider me schooled.
